Welcome to On the MENd. A charity set up to challenge the stigma around men’s mental health.
It’s great that you stopped by to have a look at our site.
On the MENd was conceived by James Elwood and Stuart Hull back in 2020.
At that time both our founders worked for an IT Managed Service Provider. They launched On the MENd as part of the companies Diversity & Inclusion network. With a dream of running this independently.

In the last 3 years they have both chaired and attended multiple talks and seminars to raise awareness of Men’s Mental Health. They have also completed multiple charity events to raise money for Mental Health services in the UK.
They now host a weekly podcast on all major streaming services called
‘Said Your Nan’
So, you may be thinking what’s the goal of On the MENd?
-
More than anything else, to get people talking. Historically men do not talk about their Mental Health. Stereotypically men are perceived strong and silent. With phrases like ‘Man Up’
-
Provide guidance and signposting to specialist services available in the UK to meet individuals needs.
-
Provide training in the corporate and education sector to help understand how men deal / or don’t with mental health.
If you would like to get involved and support us, we would love to hear from you. ..
